Vaccines for Children Program

Torres Family Care is proud to participate in the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program. This program is a federally-funded program that provides vaccines at no cost to children who might not otherwise be vaccinated because of an inability to pay.

If your child has missed any recommended vaccinations (or you’ve just recently decided to begin vaccinating your child), catching up with immunizations may feel overwhelming. The good news is that it’s not too late to get back on track and Torres Family Care can help. Please call our office with any questions or to schedule.

Well Child Visits

It’s important for your child to have regularly scheduled checkups, often called well-child visits, beginning shortly after birth and lasting through the teen years.These appointments allow your doctor to keep a close eye on your child’s general health and development. Finding possible problems early gives your child the best chance for proper and successful treatment. Also, any concerns you have about your child can be discussed during these visits.

Sports Physicals

We offer sports physicals. This exam is not meant to take the place of an annual examination. Rather, it is a series of questions and tests specific to the sport your child intends to play. Priscilla will be looking for potential illnesses or injuries that could flare up as a result of participating in a strenuous activity. They may also prescribe preventative measures such as special protective equipment or medications.
